We want your contributors to be able to get to know you, your team, your business, and last - but not least - your product or service. So, we have given you four distinct areas on your project page to help share your story.
While PieShell will proofread and approve all copy, please make every effort to check for spelling, grammar, and clearness of your message throughout the entire page.
About This Project
This is where you can get into the nitty gritty about your project and the specific funds needed. In your own voice, explain why you need a cash influx and how it will help you succeed. Keep in mind that the most critical information should be at the beginning. Many people will only read the first few lines to decide if they want to contribute, or continue reading.
We recommend starting off with 2-3 sentences outlining the following:
- Who are you? ("My name is X and I live in Y...")
- What are you doing? ("I've been doing Z for the last 5 years...")
- Why does it matter? ("It's important because...")
This is also where you will connect to your social profiles so that folks can follow you and stay in touch.
PieShell’s stepping-stone graphic will help visually explain what you will do with the money you raise, but this space will let you explain it in more detail. The more people that understand and trust that you will use their funds wisely, the greater chance they will contribute to your project. Be specific in what each step is for and how once you have achieved one goal, you can move on to the next.
YOU are the most critical part of your project! People will always support the person more than the business. Share how you started your business, who was with you along the way, and the team that is supporting you now. Tell your audience a little about your qualifications and your experience as well. This will help build their confidence and trust in you and turn them into #PieShellers who will want to support your project.
Your Dashboard will give you room for enter 1 bio. If you have a co-Founder you'd like included, please reach out to our team at email@example.com and they can add an extra field for you.
Take this opportunity to clearly describe the gifts you are offering and how you will be thanking your supporters. Read more about great gift ideas here.
Give your supporters an expected delivery schedule. If your offering is digital, delivery could be within 30 days. However, if you are raising money to produce a product, the timeline will be longer and you will need to manage everyone’s expectations. Be clear and help them understand why they might want the better gift for the higher contribution level.
